The traditional business model that only rich people were able to take risks and start businesses is becoming less applicable in the modern world.
And I remember this myth shattered when I started my own online business with just a laptop and an unwavering determination, as a single mum to make life better for me and my little one.
It’s not always true that building a business requires huge amounts of wealth; I am living proof of this.
I couldnt believe it when I first discovered this business model, because it was a true game changer.
I was both shocked and estatic when I found out that I could create and sell digital downloads from home in my pyjamas.
It also dawned on me that I could develop valuable content, courses, and toolkits without having to deal with physical inventory or raising large amounts of capital.
My first ever digital product was a simple to do list planner for project managers. It was as simple as you can get and I was shocked about the amount of people who were interested in a done for you to do list pdf.
I then started created different digital products about tips on productivity which were mainly from my personal experiences as well as solutions for stay at home mums, homeschoolers, teachers, business owners and many many more.

Before creating your products you need to be sure that your niche is profitable.
And to do that, you need to validate your idea, i.e. ensure there is demand for your niche.
THere are many ways to do that, but I really like using free keyword tools to identify if poeple are searching for that topic. Use google search, answer the public, ubersuggest or wordstream to check if there is high demand and low competition for your niche.
This is the easiest way of starting a business validation process at no cost ad giving you assurance that you are on track.
3. Utilize Free Tools and Resources
You will be surprised by how many free resources there are available on the internet.
You can find everything from website builders to graphic design tools, and trust me there’s enough to get you started on your journey without spending a penny.
My first digital product came about from using free software (canva) and doing lots of googling.
4. Building Your Digital Product Business
This is now where things start getting interesting!
Creating digital products means making them once and selling them forever.
I started with a simple to do lists for different people and eventually every sale helped me become who I am today offering different products on my site.

2. Learn Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
Understanding how search engines work will be a time saver and will ensure you make sales from the moment you launch your products.
3. Always Be Open To Learning.
There will always be something new, better, easier that you havent come across and it is important to have an open mind. Always being open to learning will make it so much easier to not only launch your business but to grow and scale at a faster scale.
